The Beginning

Bobby Johnson, is a Jamaican-born music producer, with more than two decades of musical experience. Music has always been in his DNA. He grew up helping his brother and Dubb Master Chris, (iriejamradio.com) carry sound equipment and albums to DJ at party's all over New York. The 'Dubb Masters' were at the vanguard of connecting Reggae with Hip Hop. Although classic reggae was his foundation, Hip Hop was his great love. He produced Hip Hop artist, M'Stro and worked with artists like Lord Jamal and Carl Thomas. Fast forward to events that brought him back to the land of his birth and a chance meeting. "A friend of mine, Leroy Crooks came to me and brought Richie and Ragga. I wasn't really thinking of doing music with them at the time but after hearing them, I saw that they had real talent.

Richie and The Ragga had quality music, concept-wise and subject matter,...Their music matched my vibe as a producer because I am not into the negativity, ... Right now is the time for (good) reggae. Since then, Bobby has produced singles by Reggae Superstar, LUCIANO, MIKEY ELLIS, British reggae artist, DEAN and Hip Hop artist M'STRO. Bobby Johnson's reach is global. He has worked with producer extraordianaire, John 'Pops' Dowling, whose collaboration with UB 40 is legendary. He has also collaborated with Jamaican producer Nico Wayne, who has worked with legends like Dennis Brown. "Our New York based record label is set for a great year in 2021. My goal is to win the Grammy. We wanna hit the Billboard charts and accomplish everything there is to accomplish. When you work hard NOTHING is impossible."
